ANOTHER WORLD: Carl's Redemption Pt. 163 (subject to change)

Carl Hutchins is back in Bay City and is determined to win the favor of not only its citizens but the love of his son, Ryan Harrison, and the heart of Rachel Cory. Carl's longtime enemies have other plans however. Is Carl a changed man? Will Kevin Anderson succeed in putting Carl behind bars? Will Carl be able to win the love and trust of his son Ryan? Will he be able to convince Ryan to fight for Vicky Hudson Harrison, currently married to his brother Grant?

In Part 163 (subject to change), the judge awards custody to Hank. Iris thanks the judge but he insists Iris had nothing to do with his decision. He also urges her to tell Hank and Tommy of how much she loves them. When she learns that he is also presiding over Ian's case, she tells him to throw the book at him.

Ian angrily asserts to Ryan that Paulina is innocent and then is carted off. Paulina, feeling desperate about Ian needing a lawyer, asks Frankie if Cass would ever represent him. Ryan tells Paulina that if she doesn't testify in Ian's, Billy Cooper will charge Paulina instead.

Vicky is making tremendous progress with her physical therapy and is trying to persuade Donna that she's ready to go back home. Donna feels Vicky is is merely concocting a scenario for her to see Ryan. She feels Vicky should be more permissive in abiding by Grant's wishes. Vicky tells her that she is snookered since it's obvious that Grant is just trying to control her. Donna listens and shakes her head in disbelief.

Rachel throws Jake out while both blame the other for Paulina's predicament.

Ian tells Paulina that she can't tell the court anything about her helping him.

Frankie checks in with Cass at a payphone. He tells her he too has morning sickness (cute scene even if Stephen Schnetzer isn't in it). After she hangs up, Carl approaches her with a message for Cass. He refers back to when Frankie looked into his eyes to determine that his love for Ryan was real (see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iisYITtQN4&feature=PlayList&p=EF45D75... ). He tells her that he's aware that Cass is digging into his past and that Cass will find nothing. It is all for the best if things were left alone.

Vicky pleads with Donna to see her side of things, what with locking her bedroom door and blocking her phone. Donna feels Vicky is not thinking of Grant's feelings, especially everytime she brings up Ryan's name. Vicky asks Donna to tell Grant that she'd recuperate much better at home since Grant won't take Vicky at her word. Donna feels the doctors overseeing Vicky's care should determine if she's well enough to go home. She also tells Vicky to stop shoving Ryan down Grant's throat since he's done everything he can for her. Vicky, knowing that she'll never get through to Donna, pretends to see her side. As Grant enters, Vicky asks Donna not to inform him of their conversation.

  • Another great little Carl/Frankie scene! :-)

  • Donna makes me so angry. What a fool she is, why isn't she listening to her own daughter or get a life of her own?

Vicky is right, Grant is so insecure.
