Defying the energy crunch, exorbitant real estate prices, Kelowna exemplifies the 'Life Style of the Rich' attitude, although storm clouds are gathering on the horizon. This is Kelowna, British Columbia

  • That water MUST be cold??? Doesn't look like it in the video though :)

  • In comparison to the Caribbean - yes it is cold. But with it being so hot here (it was 33) it feels great! Not so cold that you can't spend a lot of time in it.

  • i lived 11 years in kelowna from 1991 to 2002 now i i look at the pics and videos and i dont even recognize it, even my old house was torn down for condo's. they managed to get rid of all the poor people, and move in the nearly dead and newly wed rich people its a shame whats happening to our great country. Your either rich or dirt poor there's no middle oh well what can one guy do? one day at a time..

  • I'll take it over Calgary any day.

  • @lovergurlz10001 Don't waste your time, the way the economy is there is very little work available in Kelowna. What companies were offering for wages two years ago has dropped and there are so many transients chasing work that locals looking for permanent employment are having a very difficult time.

You have to be careful looking for work, sleazy little shop owners in this town have false ads to entice you. I have no idea how some folks can survive in this town on ten bucks an hour !

  • are there many job and volunteer opportunities near ubc-o?? cuz i'm thinking of moving to kelowna from vancouver

  • amazing

  • To everyone that bitches about how bad kelowna is, Why dont you fuckin move then. Every city and town has problems, has shitty expensive restaurants and has idiots who complain rather than enjoy life. Sounds like you should move so you can actually appreciate this place and see for yourself its not such a shithole. There are many problems including homeless, price of housing, stupid idiot drivers and crime. Where's a nice place to live with none of these problems? Tell me where u ungrateful ppl

  • Yeah this town is different, I agree with the restaurant comment, mostly high prices, poorly prepared and don't dare complain.

Simple everyday tasks and difficult to get done by some of the service outlets like the fucking morons at Real Canadian Oil Change who ticked off the sheet after servicing my car," topped off windshield washer fluid ".

Sure they did, with fucking water !! with the cold weather my whole washer system is completely frozen solid, fucking idiots !

Oh well $9.00 an hour ??

  • Anyone that want's or is planning on moving in this shit hole called Kelowna do you self a favor and reconsider. This town is shit,no work, rent is way to expensive..etc.

No where to go except shopping and restaurants ..if you have the money that is.Crime is growing rapidly..couple of homicides this year.

  • Ugh. Kelowna.

    No work,

    expensive to live.

Better to go to the lower mainland.

At least there's work out there.

  • i love kelowna so much
