Ancel Keys and his 7-countries study (not 10) have been debunked over and over. Saturated fats aren't bad for you. Trans fats are, and so are too-high intakes of polyunsaturated fats. Monounsaturated fats are fine, though.
While the Mediterranean Diet is a lot better than the Standard American Diet, it still has too much grain in it, especially wheat. Cut out the grains, cut way down on the sugar (especially fructose), stay away from "vegetable" oils, and don't be afraid of fatty meats.

eat that cold water fatty fish! great stuff and cheap...sardines are plentiful and awesome!

@Bourne2bwild1989 I am not sure where you got your information, but on my farm, a number of the adult animals will drink milk off of other animals who will let them! I have heard your argument before, unfortunately it has never been from a person who lives on a farm with a variety of animals. That statement, unfortunately, simply is just not true in my personal experience. I don't need to believe what someone wrote on this, I live it. So, take your statement with a grain of salt.

@Faithangel377 - People weren't designed to drink milk. We're the only mammal that continues to drink milk and eat dairy after we've been weaned off of our mothers. Milk is nothing but pus and bacteria from the utter.

All true, but let me say this. If youi do sustained cardio every day, you can pretty much get away with eating what you want. Now, you'll be better off if you eat Mediterranean diet, but, it's not always easy to do. Exercise is not optional, that's the thing.

Why is milk bad....what if it is raw goats milk.....all good enzymes..tested for bacteria count.....
You say the meditaranians eat alot of cheese.....but how is that cheese processed.....Americans eat too many processed foods....inclluding their dairy....the enzymes are killed when it is heated......no wonder America is so sick....they need to eat more raw veggies and fruits.....

Using this diet,the blood pressure will drop more than 6 to 8 points especially if you start exercising hard.You must avoid white flour products,sugar,salt and animal fats as much you can!!
