A love bird's wife has left him. He tries to entice Sylvester to eat him. Sylvester thinks there's something fishy about the situation and refuses to eat the bird.

First official appearance of Sylvester the Cat. Love his opening line - "Suffering Succotash! Squab!!" The writers made sure he got those spitting "s's" in there right off the bat! Always had an affection for Syl - my sympathies went out to him rather than Tweety in their later cartoons.

I remember watching this cartoon back in around 1989 when it was on WWOR-TV (channel 9) as part of "Bugs, Daffy & Friends", but let's if this cartoon will be on a future "Platinum Collection" Blu-Ray soon.
