i've never seen such a useless movie, 3 hours to tell nothing at last...but it's probably my favourite movie, so funny and moving...

But it tells so much about humans, emotion, friendship etc etc etc :) A beautiful and moving film.

I felt that when he says "I wonder if it remembers me" was more of a saddening realization that his entire life changed because of this one fish and it probably doesn't even know he exists.

That is exactly right, or I think so at least. I also love that you can hear the heart beat of the fish as it swims over. Brilliant.

I agree, the heartbeat really sets the mood for the scene that I (personally) think makes the entire movie.

Helps that whenever Bill Murray cries I feel the need to cry too. It's like watching your father cry for the first time.

Thank you for emphasizing that line "I wonder if it remembers me" because it just made me realize why this scene is poignant to me; how it all comes full circle: how Ned asked himself since he was young "I wonder if my Dad thinks about me?" with the after thought..."or if he even knows I exist."
