Mintage's Gory Halloween Window Display

Complaints about the Dead Baby in a Halloween window display of a Vintage boutique in Vancouver led to the CBC Television interviewing the store's owner, Skylar Stock. The Dead baby mannequins were removed, but the controversy continued.

Mintage saw its saturday sales double. The majority of Mintage customers loved the blood, guts and gore being served up on Commercial.

Early Saturday, Skylar Stock was visited by a contingent of concerned community members, civic representatives and Vancouver Police. Even after the window was toned down, its contents were still rife with allusions to horror films Halloween, Disturbia, Saw I-III and TV shows like Dexter with the blood smeared windows and the gory arrangement of mannequin parts.

WTF that has to be retarded. and the other good line "I would like to see Halloween brought back to what it used to be not all commercialized." this is an art form and the public is dictating the art. next they will be saying you know it is not right to have losers so there is no more "winning the world series" go die you whinny bunch of wussies.

i miss the window! it brought a smile to my face evertime i saw it, just thinking of the people that hated on it - how shit their lives must be to care so much. vevery city is full of bored un-creative assholes. i guess a few simulated classic movie gore scenes stir them much to the point where they alert authorities? HAHAHAHAH i'm so glad i'm not a dork. and that i have real on my mind, and not "inappropriate" clothing store window displays. losers are hilarious.

I think that the window display is wicked and everything has to be put into perspective because IT IS JUST A WINDOW DISPLAY FOR HALLOWEEN AFTERALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Skylar and staff, I think that you guys are awesome and don't take to heart what other people say (I think that the people who are protesting outside the store need to find something better to do with their time. . . like GET A JOB!)
