@UTTO05 it's enamel. The colors underneath are acrylics/ lacquers. You can always paint on top of anything with enamels, but you can't put other sorts of paints on top of enamels except other enamels. He uses zippo fluid to thin the enamels for his wash because he says it reacts less than enamel thinners. This is how you can do washes/ panel lining without worrying about the underlying layers of paint.

@bling989 Try to degrease your parts by washing them in soapy water (using "washing up liquid") and clean parts under running water. Let parts air dry completely before applying a primer coat and THEN start applying your model paints! -Basic knowledge!!!!

when the acrylic dries, water will just rub off, it's waterproof. the thin black acrylic can just be wiped off before it has cured. paint dries, but can still be dissolved a little. when it has cured it can only be removed by chemicals or by scalding it with near-boiling water, which is not advised.
