Ok, I'm sorry, but this statement is just as ignorant as the statements made by many religious extremists. I'm not religious anymore, but I still have connections with religious people who are among the best people I know. There may be people in the world who have used religion for evil, but many of the most humane movements in the world - antislavery, care for the poor, care for the sick -- have been pioneered by people who took the heart of their religion seriously. Don't be another extremist.

Buddhism doesn't qualify with anything you said. Under their beliefs it is possible to be Buddhist and any other religion at the same time (even though that other religion likely wouldn't allow the reverse.)

I think in many ways religion is good, the main message behind it is one is good. The problem is the epic levels of hypocrisy that's involved in it. The "pick and choose" mentality that comes into effect when people are determining what is bad and what isn't. They won't follow all the rules from their religion, they just choose which ones that think should be allowed. And that's the main reason I can't take any of the seriously.

TokyoNiGHTS1 - You're right about a lot of what you said, but you shouldn't be so quick to judge all religions as equal. Some religions like islam and christianity are huge detriments to society, while others are actually quite harmless, though still delusional.

where did you get that ? alot of christians live in egypt syria morrococ and alot of middle eastern countries alot of non muslim tourists com to these countries
