One of my Blue Abys does that too ! It is like she thinks she has hands -- Like a Monkey!!-she grabs food from me when I'm eating! - and she likes bananas, tomatoes and other fruit!! SOOO cute and smart!!

Yeah, Monkey will attempt to grab and eat or drink anything if he thinks you're not watching him. He's yet to find any food or drink he doesn't like. He ate a clump of wasabi, licks soap, and many other bizarre things.

Be careful with the banana's and your cats. I was warned by a vet that banana's have too high a potassium content for small animals like cats and can potentially damage the heart.

He only stared the whole chewing thing in the last few months. When we got him when he was 16 weeks for every mouthful of food he would spit half of it out and swallow the rest whole. His little sister (Jinx, ruddy female aby, currently 4 months) can inhale all 6 of her treats before monkey finished 2 of his....

They're really grabby with the paws too, aren't they?  It's not even just the usual cat batting, they actually seem to want to use them like hands.

Fascinating cats, I love my little guy. He's a 14 week old red, and just cute as a button. Nice videos too, thanks!

Very grabby. Our blue male can almost overpower my girlfriend to rip her drink glass out of her hand. Put two aby's together and you see some impressive judo moves. We got our female when she was 8 weeks old and Monkey was about 8 months old. Within a week she was tossing him around. She's quite good at using his or her own momentum to flip him....
