Experts at General Motor say there are ways drivers can ease the number of trips to the gas station. Adhering to the recommended speed limits and undergoing monthly oil changes are a few ways to conserve fuel, say experts. Due to the aerodynamic drag of a car at high speeds, every five miles-per-hour over 60 is equal to an additional 20 cents a gallon. In addition, ensuring a vehicle's tires are properly inflated can save up to 2 percent on fuel consumption.
