MHP3 Playthrough Elder Quest 52 - Aoashira, Rathian (孤島の来訪者)

The first Extended Quest I tackle, there is really no reason to carve on these quests. You can only carve Mega Potions from the bosses, so carve if you need those. Also, you don't even get capture rewards if you capture, so these quests aren't really good for farming. The one thing you can get from these quests that you can't get elsewhere is Commendations which are used for upgrading your rusted weapons if you've found any. Anyway, I use the Drink Skill Felyne Heroics in this video, only because I just happened to get it while farming Jinouga so I figured why not. For those who do not know, Heroics activates only when you have 10 health or less, and increases your attack power by 35%. The reason bombs are used to reduce your life total is to be able to control how much damage you receive to get to 10 health. I expected to finish this quest a little faster, but between Rathian's flying around the map, my bad aim, and having to play a bit more conservatively, it ran a little long.
