I was looking to upgrade mt HTPC because i just got Comcast cable. After looking at some of the reviews The KWORLD ATSC TV Stick seemed like a good fit. It's cheap, compact and supports 1080i. after i got everything set up i found out it doesn't support Comcast or any other provider that requires a cable box with a cablecard :(. I hooked up the antenna and got a few channels but i live about 25 miles outside of Kansas City and didn't see a reason to keep it for a few channels. Looks like I'll have to go with the ATI TV Wonder Digital Cable Tuner. I'd still recommend this card if you have the right set because the picture quality was pretty good on the channels i was getting in but if you have a cable provider that requires a cable card then stay clear. Here is a link to the windows 7 drivers and the newegg product page.

  • Is there any way to make it so that when the video uploads on Youtube it'll take up the entire screen? Instead of having the black bars on the side?

  • @XGiftedGamerX Yeah, I had that problem for awhile with some of my videos. When I wanted to make a video on the fly I would use Windows Movie Maker. I had the conversion resolution set to 4:3 rather than Wide Screen. Simple fix just took me a while to figure it out.

  • i got comcast myself but i don't think i use a cable card, just a cable box...you think this will work for me on clear qam?

  • @vakkav it might, but i would call comcast before you buy this. i have a cable box too, and the card is built into the box. you would never know it was there. not all of comcast network is encrypted yet. i have a friend that lives in Indiana and he can use a tuner with comcast. thanks for posting!

  • I used Media Center but the software that it comes with will do it. There are also some open source media centers out there that this will work with.

  • Man I just bought this same thing and ran into the same problem of not being able to use it with my Optimum digital cable. I'm now looking for another alternative. Did you ever get the ATI TV Wonder Digital Cable Tuner and does it work with digital cable?

  • does it work with analog tv because mine does not. it works better with antenna.

  • I have the same exact product - except the box is not as new as yours. I love this product and am using in in Windows 7.

  • Im buying one tomorrow

  • All the free channels on cable cannot be encrypted, I completely understand cable channels like ESPN, CNN to use encrypted quam, but I think the OTA channels like FOX and ABC must be in clear quam.
