I wasn't close to my father, but this song was always my favorite. Almost like my childhood except my dad wasn't always away working. He just didn't want to interact with my brother and I. To all dad's who take the time to be there for their kids, I applaud you.

What a great song and fokelore, which represents the fast paced lifestyle we all live in today and almost 40 years ago. If you listen to the lyrics, it's understood that life will pass you by and you'll never even know it. My father passed away almost 30 years ago of a sudden illness, so enjoy and treasure the moments you have with your loved ones. Forgive and forget any heartaches you may have with someone, because life is to short.
