Martin Singh is a pro-business member of the NDP. He is a pharmacist and businessman who resides with his wife and three children in Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia. In the federal NDP, Martin is the President of the Faith and Social Justice Commission. Martin has chemistry, chemical engineering, and pharmacy degrees from Dalhousie University as well as his MBA from Saint Mary's University. Martin is an active member of the Sikh faith and the Canadian Armed Forces Reserves. He also volunteers on a number of non-profi t boards at the local, regional, and national level.
The four policy areas that form the reason for Martin Singh's leadership bid include entrepreneurship and business, health care and a national pharmacare plan, the environment, and leadership itself.
