Is this one of the best summer holidays you have ever seen?! Nothing beats the island of Hvar!! Voted my Conde Nast as "one of the 10 most beautiful islands in the world", it lives up to its travel slogan of "the Mediterranean as it used to be". And it is - still a beautiful clear turquoise Adriatic Sea, lovely and lively ports, and medieval villages. The village of Pitve overlooks the palm-fringed port of nearby Jelsa, and has two outstanding traditional restaurants situated in the heart of this medieval village of stone houses. The Architect's House is luxuriously and authentically restored - peaceful, picturesque, and just far enough away from the action, but only a walk or a short drive to fishing village, cafes, and beaches.
