When I listen to this song, I'm in middle school; slow dancing with a broken heart in the empty gymnasium long after all the lovers have gone to their lane. And the streamers and banners remind me of all the love I'll never know. The punch bowl is provides quiet solace as I throw my bow-tie to the floor and saunter slowly into the warm night.
