Verena did an interview with Eddie Bravo after her last Jiu Jitsu class in Legends Gym in Hollywood. This is the first part of the interview and it's a little bit cutted, so it can be uploaded to YouTube. Thanks for taking your time with us, Eddie.

Where does the bible speak about cannabis? It talks about sobriety from alcohol. Being high and being drunk are worlds apart. The worst thing I've ever done high is make a bad joke. I make bad jokes anyway!

A lot of gamers are losers. A lot of drinkers are losers.

Losers pick a time-waster and ignore responsibilities.

I see people talking about belts.. I've trained in different styles, ITF Taekwon do, Kyokushinkai, shootfighting, wrestling, boxing, MMA and bjj. Belts really mean very little in most arts. When I started doing Kyokushin, I was shocked at how much a black belt had to go trough to earn his belt. But none of that compares to Bjj! Hell, in some schools you have to win a bloody belt in a MMA org in order to earn the black belt, or win a mundial or something! So; In this sport, the belt matters! :)

    a stripe, not a belt

it's a teacher's way of grading me, showing that i have learned something

not just some wannabe or drop-out claiming to be a practitioner

sry if what i said stepped on your toes

It's not all about flexibility. A lot of it is about angles.

His words about humility and a positive attitude transcend BJJ- they can applied to anything in life.
