That's a genius idea Brian! Most people wouldn't think to save money on miscellaneous details and just do the imitation method. When it comes to scrims the over all look is what matters at the end of the day. Who cares what you're using? I don't. That's a cool idea. I think I will try that method. Thanks for posting!

What if you don't prop your speaker all the way up? I don't due to the way certain venues are set up. Are you using a sheet for a twin mattress? I'm wondering if that size would be ideal for speaker stands you don't necessarily prop up all the way?

@DJFlipEntertainment Where I put the sheet over the top of the pole I have determined that I have to overlap it by around 4 inches to extend the pole all the way up, you can always pull it over father, just the extra material might be harder to tuck, pin and hide. You would have to do a few tests to see what the optimum length would give you the proper look. The sheet is a twin or a single bed mattress. I don't know why they call a single bed a twin bed.
