On Saturday, Nov. 1 at 12 pm, the City opened the gates on the newly constructed Skateboard Plaza to allow local skaters to make inaugural test runs. An Official Grand Opening will be held in the spring when all Plaza elements including public art, donor walls and landscaping will be completed. Meantime, as of Nov. 1 the Skateboard Plaza will be available for use.

Spinning your wheels took on a whole new meaning this weekend. More than two hundred Thunder Bay residents turned out at Saturday's unofficial opening of the Skateboard/BMX Plaza at Prince Arthur's Landing. Skaters and BMX riders made memorable first runs at Thunder Bay's newest skate-of-the-art destination.

  • because it was a pile of rotting wood

it was good around 2002 but once it was torn out in 2005 it was on it's last leg

how can you compare rough asphalt and wood ramps with holes and screws sticking up to an amazing smooth concrete plaza
