Couple of mistakes were made in this vid... You dont need to blacken the bottom of the blade before sharpening, you can simply use a tap test. One thing you need to keep in mind or at least take note of is wether or not the blade your sharpening was level when you recieved it. If its not level and you blacken or use the tap test to find the middle of the blade, you will still be sharpening that blade crooked or cock-eyed. You should make sure the blade is level before starting.
