This was back when you paid $50 for a video game that was absolutely, 100% finished. No patches or updates that took ten minutes to download. Most of my favorite games are from these few years of cream; BiA: Road to Hill 30, COD:Finest Hour, COD2: Big Red 1, Ghost Recon 2, Ghost Recon 2: Summit Strike. All of them had great online communities, GR 2's lasting up to 2010.
