Look, by 2030, 50% of the country will be urban. Like I told you, changes don't happen all of a sudden. Plus this video is pertaining to Pak and issues facing it. I don't want to discuss with u abtt whatever's happening in India or America or any other country. The comments here should be made regarding what's happening in the video & some meaningful responses for it. We cannot get side-tracked and start discussing about something totally different tht has nothing to do with the video

  • Unfortunatly behind these number there people who struggles to meet the basic human needs,i would love to see that we are solving the mess created by the british but unfortunatly is simply not happening.

  • and to enrich the already rich ppl.

Unfortunatly the worst is yet to come, the indian population is still icreasing a an alarming rate(1 child born every 1,2 second) and is going to reach 1,6 billion just by 2025.So you can immagine food inflation and water shrtages are only going to worsen.

  • so how you can undestand we should start to jugde extreme poverty level by poverty 1,6 dollar,1,75 means that pverty levels is still around 60%.

poverty levels in india have not only seen a increase in number but the decline as percentage of the population is still to proved.

Surely there have tremendous growth gdp after the 1991 ecomonical reforms, but the only result of this economical growth has been to bring the indian middle class comsumption level to the west middleclass comsumptionlevel

  • Second point

The goverment of india and the world bank are saying that since 1981 to today ppl living in extreme poverty has gone down from 60% of the population(385 million, the total p. was 700) to 40% of the population (480million,the toatl p. is 1,2 billion) but unfortunatlty these numbers tend to mislead ,obvously due to inflation the purcashing power of the dollar is not the same as it was in 1981 but declined a lot.

  • @zakuza92

zakuza92 first of all ,the indian govermnt and the wrld bank are saying that 75% of indian population live with less than 2$ per day(international standard fro poverty,1.25$ is the standard for extreme poverty) whih means tht the remaning 25%(300 million) includes the low middle class, middle class and the elite.so cbovously there cant be a 350 million middle class, even the 300 million middle class is just a myth, the actual size of middle class is far far smaller

  • @isfand89

Isfand89, India is making improvements, but it takes time for a country to build up fully. It's economy may be growing by 8 or 9% or it may be 4th largest economy, But, but, it still has a long way to go. Nation building is tough and requires a lot of effort from the people(citizens) and the hukumat (government). Both our govt. and people are trying hard. So, it takes time. Indians are not robots that they have magic in their hands that they'll instantly transform their nation.

  • @isfand89

India has 350 million middle class and it's urban population is expected to reach 50% by 2022. It takes time for a country to come of the mess created by the British. Only 62 years have passed. It took U.S 200 years just to fix its political system. It takes time for a country. Try to understand this, plus India has a huge population and no oil and less than 1 or $2 a day is set aside by the West to show their supremacy. This is Western criteria and that's not the right way to judge.
