VIEW IN HQ. This is from King Cimson's 'Starless And Bible Black'.
John Wetton was on top of his game. Thanks for dropping by.

Health-food faggot with a bartered bride
Likes to comb his hair with a dipper ride
Once had a friend with a cloven foot
Once he called the tune in a chequered suit

Great deceiver

In the door on the floor in a paper bag
Theres a shoe-shine boy with a gin-shop slag
She raised him up and she called him son
And she canonised the ground that he walked upon

Great deceiver

Cigarettes, ice cream, figurines of the virgin mary
Cigarettes, ice cream, figurines of the virgin mary

Cigarettes, ice cream, cadillacs blue jeans

In the night hes a star in the milky way
Hes a man of the world by the light of day
A golden smile and a proposition
And the breath of God smells of sweet sedition

Great deceiver

Sing hymns make love get high fall dead
Hell bring his perfume to your bed
Hell charm your life til the cold winds blow
Then hell sell your dreams to a picture show

Cigarettes, ice cream, figurines of the virgin mary
Cigarettes, ice cream, figurines of the virgin mary

Cadillacs, blue jeans, dixieland playing on the ferry
Cadillacs, blues jeans, drop a glass full of antique sherry

  • Saw Crimson several times with the Wetton, Cross, Fripp, and Bruford line-up. Wetton does not play this selection with a pick.

  • Okay, thank you, I didn't know that. Take care and thanks for the info.

  • Great playing man

Is that an American Standard precision, all stock? Sounds great

  • It's a MIM P Bass, made in 2005. I yanked out the stock cheapie pick ups and installed a set of Seymour-Duncan 1/4 pounders (basslines). The other mod was a BadAss bridge. Thanks for the comment, -Bill

  • Did he say "Health food fagot"? lol great playing as usual! What ever happened to your old account as Munkybarz?

  • Munkybarz? Nah, this is my first and only account, ever, right? I posted the lyrics for you.

  • F*ck man, as a KC fan I'm sold, I bet mr. John Wetton would be proud of you, if he saw this.

Congratulations for your great work, on covering those hard progressive tunes. Keep it up coming.

  • I love King Crimson!!!! Especially their high energy stuff like this! Great bass playing; it looks like fun!

  • Hey, in the Health Food part I simply can't hear the timing of the bass part. I thought it was in 3/4 but I'm pretty sure it's 4/4 over 6/8 drums? Can you help me out at all? I just can't keep it going under the drums they really are a distraction :/ Cheers
