If its a tribute to the 205 t16 why on earth have you muted the sound of the car and replaced it with abba, if we wanted to listen to abba we would, we're here for the car.

@edc4d Because the winner takes it all and that's ehat the T16 done. There is plenty of vids with just the engine sound, but I thought the choice ABBA fot this vid was a good choice.

@0006super That's a brilliant comment and I don't think the drivers like Salonen or the engineer Jean Todt get the credit they deserve. Thank's for letting me know about a few more facts about this amazing little machine. The feeling I get is was if this didn't work it was bye bye Peugeot and they gambled everything on it and it worked.

@johnmcluskey the 205 saved peogeot from going bankrupt, its rally sucess was the key to this and with out the 205 we might not have peogeot today

@0006super I agree with you about the cars, but even though Audi made and exit in 86 after all the Group B disasters I think they threw the towel in because Kankunen was so ahead in points in the 205t16 anyway. Apparently the Audi drivers hated the S1 and preferred the older models that actually handled like the A1 and 2. To cut the chase short, the 205 was the only purpose built rally car that actually done something big

@johnmcluskey the pergoet was defo the best, the audi was very quick but it only ran a partial program in 1986, so the could never realy show what they could realy do

@0006super At the San Remo rally in Italy it ran with over 540hp with 3.0bar of boost from a 1.8 litre engine. And the engine in this car was probably the most reliable in the Group B era. It actually is the best group B car ever built and Audi fans can say all they want. The Pug is better and the stats prove it. This car was designed to be unbeatable and just kept evolving every time. I love the sound of the Audi, but this is a much better car.
