  • I have been living on a low carb diet for a few years. i started shovelling in carbs 5 days ago. fruit, pasta, bread, potatoes. I had never eaten so much fruit before. Now every time i eat carbs my body starts shaking. My heart starts racing rapidly which causes me to panic. I suffer with anxiety disorder but this is happening to me every time i eat. so something is telling me its the sugars. Do you think I have a sugar intolerance? Or does my body just need to adapt to the new sugar intake.

  • Is it possible that he's talking about cooked carbohydrates in the first excerpt? Since he specializes in treating cooked food, SAD eaters? It would be helpful if you dated each segment, so we knew how they relate to one another in time. If you're eating cooked foods, including starches, he's right that eating large amounts of raw bananas or other fruit on top of that prolly isn't a good idea when diabetic. Context, Durian, context!

  • @tamcon72 As a fan of GC Im surprised you know so little of his teachings. GC says carbs are bad regardless if its fruit or HFCS. He says a high fat diet is best, actually he says a high carb diet is best...hang on, I dont actually know what the fuck GC says is best...sorry. ;)

  • Oh hai! Have you thought about the Fat Blast Furnace (google it)? Ive heard some great things about it and my friend shed plenty of unwanted fat.

  • Harley what do you think about Robert Morse? He is on fasting and green juices....what's your opinion on him???

  • Just to clarify things for people, Dr. Cousens is a scientist and extensive researcher and reports what the research is saying. The clip from the movie saying high carb is good was shot over 7 years ago when that was his latest findings. He has done a ton of research since then and has come to the scientifically researched conclusion that a low to moderate carbohydrate diet is best. Bottom line is any good scientist can & should change their conclusions to coincide with the most recent findings.

  • @durianriders I don't know what the crap GC is dribbling on about in his talks that you've shown. I certainly hope that they were made before the Reversing Diabetes in 30 days video. Bottom line is, he has successfully reversed diabetes through dietary changes towards a high carb, low fat, low protein diet. Everybody should watch the DVD and listen to what he says on there (where there is evidence) and then ignore any other shit he dribbles that contradicts it.

  • @highsugarfruit Okay, i have been doing low calorie for some time and i had pretty good results, also did some fasting. I want to do some building up and also think of a way to do this fruit thing long term so now i'm going to try to do high calorie intake to see what will happen. So if it does work really well then 80/10/10 and fasting on occassions can be very powerful i think. I'm also fan of (GOOD) herbs, 

  • @composertimbeek In one of the recent videos, Harley said that there comes a time for fasting as well. Apparently he changed his mind from "fasting is bad" to "fasting is acceptable for special occasions".
