i stand corrected on the age of the 46 in my previous post! they were about 25 y/o at the time and were fun to ride in despite their age!

i first rode in these babies in 1989 when i was a Marine at Camp Pendleton and i loved riding in them even though they were 30 y/o and served in "Nam. 9 years after i was out and was living in sacramento, i was out for a walk and i heard a chopper. from the sound, i knew it was a 46 and i was right!. when i was at Pendleton, these things were flying over all of the time and that sound is something i will never forget. to me it was having a flashback in time and i love that sound they make!!!!

@Atombomb1337 Better hurry - the 46 is gone from the Navy and the Marines will be retiring theirs soon. The Seahawks and variants will be around for a couple more decades I suspect.

I love the Sea Knight and the Sea Hawk. Wonderful pieces of equipment, and I hope my time in the Navy will lead me to work on both =)
