JS SHMUPS-MUGEN #01: Castlevania Boss Rush

Team SHMUPS is back with its own series, and ready to take on the meanest bosses in MUGEN! Team SHMUPS ventures to Dracula's Castle in Castlevania to take on four tough bosses!

The targets in this boss rush:Omega Tiger Woods, old version (Most_Mysterious): Massive projectile attacks make OTW a very good SHMUP-style boss. Weaving in between streams of OTW's aimed sparks is like good old Raiden DX and trying to weave in between those two tanks' same attack in Mission Alpha. For a challenge, I used R-9 and did not upgrade its firepower at all; just R-9 and its trusty Wave Cannon.

Alien Queen (HSR): Taking on the Queen with R-9 is just like the classic R-Type showdown between R-9 and the Alien-like boss, Dobkeratops. The Queen has Hyper Armor, but continued attacks on her causes her to jump backwards.

Skullman (the_none): I forgot where this character came from, but judging by its looks, it came out of an early 90s PC game. Skullman has an asston of strikers: hover vehicles, tiny terrorists, a giant robotand even Shaquille O'Neal. It's basically a combination of all of MM's past works. As a normal fighting game character, it's very difficult to fight Skullman. Two floating hands disrupt your rhythm. If that's not bad enough, a giant duck comes out and pummels you. In this small stage, it's unavoidable as the SHMUP ships. To add to the overkill, the head transforms into a phantom fighter who throws 1979 Asteroids as projectiles and, you guessed it, even has a Shun Goku Satsu.

Dracula (raigugariru): The final boss of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night gets a MUGEN version. As his initial form, Dracula shoots fireballs, a horde of bats, and flame pillars. Dracula can only be hit in the head, like in the real games. When Dracula gets to half health, he transforms into a huge Gargoyle who rains down fireballs at you. He has a flame pillar super and a highly damaging shadow ball super.

I removed the lifebars (press CTRL+L) to simulate a typical SHMUP boss fight. Most shmups do not display a boss lifebar.
