In The Summertime - Delta Blues Slide Guitar and Harp - Mungo Jerry Bluze

In The Summertime, Delta Blues Slide Guitar style with a Old Parlor Slide Guitar and a Harp, Mungo Jerry was the Inspiration but it really is totally different, this was recorded At my Lake One night at The MOC, (Moment Of Creation) I tried to make this song have a delta blues vibe for a while and couldn't find the Mississppi Delta Grove, and Rik said at the bar, Try it on Henry, lol, (named for the guitar maker, Henry Kay, as it was one of his prototypes from the early 1900's, the neck is even chiseled and never was sanded, lol) and a delta blues version was born, :-)

Anyway, Im on Henry playing the slide in Open G and Rik Little is on Harmonica, its a old cross breed harp of like a Chord Harmonica and a tremolo Harmonica in G mixed, it isnt listed at Wiki to know for sure

I guess is like a Robert Johnson Style, Maybe Charlie Patton Style, Maybe it is Just a Raw Unpolished DSWhite style, lol, I dont know, what players style of Delta Blues would you say it resembles most?

Myself, I usually try to take present Day Music and convert it back to it roots of delta Blues in some form, they convert it to Rock & Roll or Folk or Country somewhere along the line, and I just kinda change it back to where it once began,

Peace and Party On All, go surfing and swimming in the sea, scew oil companies, go to wamer waters and come back when you dont need to use Oil, lol, or never come back and stay barefoot in the sun might be a better plan and never come back, :-)

Maybe I'll see ya in Belize, :-) I'll be the guy playing wherever there are hippies partying to the grooves, :-)

Thanks Jag, The Guitar is in open G, the harmonica for this one is in G also but it is a tremolo harmonica of some sort, we are not sure, it is like a Chord Harmonica and Tremolo cross breeded, its a real old Harp, wiki didnt have it listed.. oh well, sounds like a accordian for the most part...

Have fun trying this song like I did, it isnt hard if you watch my fingers to get the idea of the delta groove, just the basic Mungo start and Delta Scales thrown in for good measure, :-)
