in the video here you see J L Hudsons department store and bob out front in concert. well I'm in that crowd somewhere. this is also the store that refused to carry the MC5 album kick out the jams unless the mf shout was removed. the 5 said up yours we dont need you. hudsons was the largest retail outlet in the area. just thought you'd enjoy an original fans remembrences.

This would have worked better if it was heard on "The Hot Fudge Show" later on. If you listen, Bob Seger was trying to find his nitch as he would several years after with "Night Moves". As for "Noah", let's give it a test run.

concrning the link to Noah. cuz its down. My memory in the press at the time was Bob didnt like it because it was recorded without him while he was out of town. this was not an uncomon industry business practice at the time. any truth to this with Noah. I do know for fact that back in the day alot of artists had studio musicians record their albums while they toured. I loved early Bob. Its gutsy Detroit Rock n Blues.

I have a signed copy of this album, DETROIT at its best god I loved the music from DETROIT in the 60's

Two other songs on this album were GREAT - Innervenus Eyes and Death Row. Innervenus ranks as one of Bob's GREATEST blow you away rock jams he has ever released. It would have fit perfectly on his next album, Mongrel. (or Early Seger Vol. 2)

The Bridge in this songs sounds kind of like Skynard's Alabama,
Ahh Ahh Ahh, lets go on with the show..

Believe me, if your a Seger System fan, then you'll want to find a copy of this album!! While it is rather uneven & inconsistent, there is some real good stuff on it! Would sure like to see it get rereleased on CD along with all the other earlier albums some day, how about it, Bob & Capitol???

I found a seller on e-bay who lives in Austria who has (real) professional cd's of all of segers out of print cd's. These are not crackly LP transfers or cheap cdr-rs they are professionally remastered by an overseas record company of some type. The sound on these even surpases the sound of seger's remasters. The price is phenominal as well...22-24 dollars U.S. with 3 to 5 dollar shipping. I bought noah, back in 72 and brand new morning. Rambling gambling man, mongrel are also available.
