Its Tough: A Jonas Twin Sister Story~Chapter 3

Lexis POV
I cried and cried. It just hurt so bad. Candie sprinted back over with mom and dad lagging behind her.
"Can't you run any faster!?" Candie screamed. I chuckled slightly. Candie was on cross country and it bothered her when people ran slow.
"We're not runners like you sweety," Mom said, out of breath.
"My sister is injured and you can only think about yourself?" Candie sarcastically asked, offended.
"Calm down and go take your inhaler," Mom demanded, and Candie walked away even though she wanted to be at my side.

Mom and Dad looked at my hand and decided it was best if they took me to the emergency room. Deep down inside I had a feeling this was a hospital trip for Candie also. I knew that Demi and Selena were not preforming tonite after what had happened today at soundcheck. We all got back in the bus and Candie and I changed so we looked like regular Jonas Sisters. We entered the hospital in the Emergency wing. Mom filled out paperwork for both Candie and I. We sat in the waiting room for a while. Just Mom and us. Our brothers would have come in, but they would have been attacked by fans if they did, so they stayed in the bus. After about fourty-five minutes, we were called. We were led into a small room with light blue walls, and the doctor came in shortly after. He looked at my hand first.

"So Alexis, what seems to be the problem today?" the doctor asked me.
"I fell onto my fingers," I said, showing him my right hand which was now hopelessly swollen.
"Tsk. That doesn't look to good. Im gunna have to get you an x-ray for that hand," he said, and I was scared out of my mind. I hated hospitals and doctors, but not as much as Candie and Joe did. Candie was actually sitting int he corner of the room shaking.
"A-alright," I choked out. Now it was Candie's turn.

"Now let's see whats wrong with you Candace," the doctor soothingly said, trying to calm poor Candie down.
"She has been having problems with her blood sugar and her lungs and heart lately," Mom said, so Candie didn't have to talk.
"Do you mind if I listen to you're heart and lungs Candace," he asked gently, taking the stethlescope from around his neck. Candie nodded nervously.
"Hmmm...It doesn't sound too good. Worse than last time according to her records. Denise, do you mind if we preform a MRI to see what is causing the problems?" the doctor asked.
"No, of course not. Anything to help," Mom said, now very worried.

The doctor had Candie and I go into a room and change into hospital gowns. I was scared, but not as bad as Candie was.
"Candie, you alright?" I asked her.
"I don't know. He said its worse than last time," Candie shakingly said, tears begining to well in her eyes.
"Its alright. You'll be just fine Candie," I soothed, hugging her.
"Promise?" Candie asked, now gently crying.
"I promise," I reassured.

Two doctor came into the room and took us away from eachother. I got my x-ray done, so I had to wait for the results. Candie was still in her MRI. I sat in the waiting room with mom, and we just waited for Candie to come out from behind the double doors. Her doctor eventually came out, but Candie was no where to be seen.

"Are you two here for Candace Jonas?" the doctor asked.
"Yes we are, Is she alright?" Mom answered.
"We are looking at the results now, but we have moved her into a room. Oh and as for Alexis, we have her results," the doctor said.
"Is my hand broken?" I asked anxiously.
"What room is Candace in?" Mom asked worried
"Well..." the doctor said.
"WELL WHAT?" Mom shouted, waiting on the answers.

Is Candie alright?
