@markymarcus1 Yes, the NHS is great, even the Conservative party in the UK dare not destroy it - because if they did they would never win an election ever again, that is how much the people of the UK treasure it!

Obama is trash, he has done nothing and is now kissing Islamic ass.
Illegals should not get complete amnesty, it will further bankrupt America. i think we need to attack the drug trade and help Mexico become more "people friendly" but it is in chaos on purpose. both govts profit off the drug industry and chaos.
health care needs to have some sort of socialism to it but needs years of reform not rammed into congress overnight like it was. Congress needs an ass kicking...they are not royalty

I dont like this whole insurance business you guys have over there! despite what anybody might think the NHS is a fantastic system as everyone has the right to medical care wether they can afford it or not! I admit there are some internal politics within the system that need looking at (nothing a few sackings couldn't cure) but the system as a whole is great and I wouldn't have it any other way!

I took a blood test 3 months ago. Because S.F. General does not take private insurance they charged me $1000 for it. What a rip off. 9 months ago I got a free blood test from the red cross and they gave me a free bottle of water.
I think the driving cost of health insurance is from greed all around; insurance companys, pharmaceutical companys and hospitals.
A puplic option would be good competion for those money whoring pricks.

I am mostly arguing with attempts to use deception to promote political agenda. The argument that everyone must buy insurance to cover the expenses of the government is premised on the (faulty) assumption that the government must continue paying for the ER. But paying for the ER is a political choice. I think it's promoted as the humane choice. But if this choice cannot be separated from the coercion to purchase insurance, then calling it "humane" is disingenuous.
There are no less than half a dozen websites dedicated to helping us pick out auto insurance; can't health insurance be that simple?
Personally, I use neither. As much as I applaud contingencies, I refused to give a company money a month who is only going to help me if ABSOLUTELY necessary.

I should hope so! I would see that as an empty niche that many companies could fill, should this become law.
