Zappa Versions of this are way more powerful . The Title of this video should read : Shawn Lane covers Watermelon in Easter Hay by Frank Zappa . This is good though and he shreds but I think Frank deserves credit when its due.

It is great i see amazing shred guitarists when they can slow things down and show the soul in their playing. Too many guitarists these days just want to shred, which is cool but if seems very much in the vein of jumping or running before you can walk. Doesn't matter how many notes, it's the context. It's all about the emotion. Which is the only thing I see in this playing. Beautiful.

@Dooality The Tortue Never Stops.
yup.... the show took place in cafe Berkhout in Amsterdam. It was announced on noproblemhere if I remember well. When I called the pub in advance to make a reservation they had no clue who Shawn was, nor did they sell tickets...The majority of people in the pub were just regular visitors who didn't care much about the music, that's why the talking. It was the first time I've met my fav player...One of my fondest memories..

@littlecornermusic Fuck. Perhaps the human race doesn't deserve Shawn's music. The vast majority of people have overlooked his genius. Maybe a more insightful and understanding life form would be more appreciative.
