  • The compressor actually wears in over time and the efficiency increases as the bearing surfaces become hightly polished.

  • Prone to wear due to the repeatedly rubbing metal parts? No?

  • @EmersonClimateTech your welcome! and thank YOU for building a tough, reliable, rock-solid, quiet, durable, compressor. I have a 1999 3 ton Ruud/Rheem straight-cool A/C. It is a TANK. Runs constantly some days, and cools awesomely. And it has a Copeland Compliant Scroll compressor in it. Very quiet, reliable, and tough. So thank YOU, for building a good compressor. I even think the Copeland Reciprocating compressors are reliable!
