Deep brain stimulation for Parkinson's Disease Part 2

Sybil's Parkinson's Disease can no longer be effectively treated with drug therapy. Deep brain stimulation is an alternative treatment that can re-establish quality of life in such patients.

Substantia nigra in the mesencephalon is probably the the what they are talking about. Patients with parkinson's disease have a decrease in dopanergic neurons in that region of the basal ganglia.

i had this surgery done to me 2 years ago, i have familial tremors, im now 19 and it was the best decision ive ever made
