GMC being reversed out of its place of rest of 25odd years to be loaded onto a lowloader. Forklift behind was there incase she started rolling as theres no brakes, but the brakes are sticking on so there wasn't an issue.

  • what engine are you guys geting next if you need this beast to move it about?

are you going to keep the gmc?

  • @jrvintage we're keeping the GMC and plan to restore it over the next couple of years it's taken a lot of effort to get it. It will be a bit thursty for engine transportation at about 5 to the gallon of petrol :-)

  • Nice vid Steve, was Gaz getting ready to jump off at the top of a steap hill or was he just getting some fresh air?

    cheers Jon

  • @jrvintage i think he was getting some fresh air theres no exhaust as such and theres no floor in the cab so you can imagine what it was like for him

  • Nice early one and still has the bed nice find good luck

  • Hey do you have a workshop manual for the beast? If not I have a scan of the US war departments technical manual that would come in handy for your restoration. It's 545 pages long and has evereything from new vehicle run-ins to destroying the vehicle to prevent it from falling into enemy hands.
