Here, we have an OUTSTANDING arcade conversion of Konami's 1981 classic arcade original Frogger on the Commodore Vic-20 home computer system and it is entitled Frogger '07, a homebrew port created by none other than developer Glen Richards!!

The first thing that blows you away is just how it most SPLENDIDLY resembles the real coin-op game, right down to all of the sounds and also to just how damn excellent this game plays on the Vic-20... like quite a dream coming true and then some!!! If there was ever a way to dust off that ol' computer of yours and play, get this game and you are all set!!! (^-^)v !!

Speaking of which, there are two (2) ways to play this game; one, is by going to this link right here for an excellent "Oldschool Gaming" site review of the game plus a possible download of a version for Commodore Vic-20 emulators (like VICE, Pfau Zeh, or Power20, for example!):

...and the second way is by checking out the new "Mega Cart" for the Vic-20 computer system which holds A TON FULL of all of games that were released from during its life-span, and the video footage of it is right here:

...so be sure not to miss it, alright? :D

In the meantime, though, please be sure to enjoy my splendid play of Frogger '07 very much, and thanks again so much!!! d=^_~=b !!

  • How are you playing that? Emulator or real???

  • @gjc82071 At the time of the video, this was done on the VICE emulator that I have used to check out this excellent homebrew version of Frogger '07.

Thanks so much for asking, though. ;)

  • I'm pretty sure i had frogger on a cartridge for my Vic 20, didn't look as colourful as this one though.

  • Very nice

  • Another option for the real machines is the xm1541 adapter which I have. I have a video demonstration on how to use it. The only catch is you must have a real commodore disk drive.

  • Wonderful conversion. Excellent

  • But this is an expanded VIC 20 right?

  • Are you using VICE?

  • Impressive. The music is awesome considering the sound chip in the Vic wasn't that great.

  • This is great. I cant wait to get a vic-20 and play it on a real machine.

  • First game I bought with my Vic-20! Stands up well! :) Thanks for uploading!
