Mega move through Fort McMurray's Hwy 63. This processing tower is making it's way to one of the oilsands sites. This is one of the largest move performed by Mammoet Canada, 62.15m high, 5.2m dia and almost 400 tonnes! 320 wheels climbing the Hwy's larges incline known as "SuperTest". Awsome site..even in -25 temp. (ref. Fort McMurray Today, Feb27)

  • GENERAL ELECTRIC called......your MOM'S DIDLO is ready!

  • vewry impressive to syncronize 6 big heavy haulage truck! and this up the seep hill!

  • so thats the pcs of machinery that put those giant gouges in the road going up supertest? It had just been repaved in the fall and it is a crappy stretch of road now.I havent seen mammoet back to fix the damage.

  • @sprblz - i agree with you... industrial meat production, aside from being obscene and cruel (/watch?v=iBbYUdvGWk0), is also a major contributor to GHGs - just like the filthy tar sands moonscape.

i'd like to 'get off oil' myself (as you kindly suggested), but that option is not even on the table; the oil barons, corrupt politicos and ruling elite would never allow it. i don't own/drive a vehicle btw, i take transit... not much consolation i admit. i do what i can to enlighten & inform... you?

  • @techcafe Farming of cattle to support North America's hunger for beef is the number one producer of greenhouse gases, namely carbon dioxide and methane, look it up... It's easy to stand on your soap box and proclaim the end of the world at the hands of the Alberta Tar Sands. Get off the internet and go live without anything that has ever come from oil.

  • i wanna see when it tried to go up supertest

  • note: entire flocks of migratory birds have already died as a result of drowning in the poisonous effluent after stopping to take a rest on these toxic man-made lakes, called 'tailings ponds'.

  • The Alberta Tar Sands project is the single most gargantuan source of climate-changing CO2 in North America. Its black monstrous scar can be easily identified from space. It belongs to Exxon.
