A well-trained patient demonstrates binocular coordination and oculomotor control, visualizing a bug crawling along an "imaginary" string towards his nose (and back) in different directions of gaze. Patient entered vision therapy at age 72 with Convergence Insufficiency, poor depth perception and poor spatial localization skills. Patient mastered these skills with 12 weeks of in-office vision therapy supported with a daily home therapy program. Note the control of asymmetric eye movements when viewing the string in left-gaze or right-gaze (e.g., in right gaze, right eye must move at a different rate than the left eye to land at the nose at the same time). This is achieved via visualization of an imaginary string in 3-dimensional space, with a strong sense of spatial localization well-integrated with binocular oculomotor control.
Hi, how can I get some training of theese skills? How can I be a patient?
