Moseley Bog in Birmingham. A small natural wood in the heart of Birmingham where Tolkien played as a young lad, the inspiration for his hobbits. This clip was to promote walking for health and the benefits of getting out in the countryside, exploring what's on your doorstep.

  • I don't have any more information, but there are volunteers, as featured in this video, who I'm sure could help you. Or you could try the Wildlife Trust for Birmingham and the Black Country.

  • Unspoilt? it was. did anyone from the wildlife trust actually ask anyone who goes there about their so called improvements? If Tolkien walked through there now he would be horrified at the councils so called "improvements". hey council, why dont you chop down Sherwood forest as well, so we can have wheelchair access? I bet the people who have made the so called improvements have never actually been there. Tolkien would be turning in his grave. You cannot improve on nature.
