  • Thats Insane!!!!

  • The Fs100 does have stabilization for video but unless you're standing still, it's pretty useless and it causes a certain amount of graininess to your video. I disable it to get the sharpest picture.

  • Actually it's called a contrail - meaning a condensation trail. The Canon FS100 does have Electronic image stabilization but it's pretty useless if you're moving around. I always turn sabilization off when making my videos to prevent fuzziness and a slight out of focus look.

  • You don't need Adobe Premier elements to deal with it. You can just change the file extension from .mod to .mpg and you're set.

  • the FS-100 does record in .mod format, but no you don't have to buy Adobe Premiere Elements nor any other Adobe product to deal with them. Furthermore, they're not AVCHD files - this camera is SD, not HD. Lot of good posts out there on how to best use the files for particular platforms.

  • herbiek65 It shoots .mod and you would need to buy Adobe Premiere Elements 7 to deal with this kind of avchd file. That goes for all camcorders that use avchd ok. :) David and Charmaine

  • That camcorder is great. I'm thinking about buying one myself. Cool Vid.
