She obviously has never celebrated christmas in Germany. Most of the things she said are simply not true :/
-
that's what happen when a non-german is acting like she would know anything of our traditions .. LOL!

most of the vid is not true :D

That's really strange... german christmas doesn't start on 6th december. Christmas starts on december 24th, the holy evening. Then we go to church, eat, drink and sing together and everyone gets his presents. On december 6th there is "Nikolaustag", like MacBookGuy wrote. The Nikolaus puts something in your boots (normally chocolate and tangerines). And I don't know anyone who has more than ONE christmas tree! :D But the rest of the report is okay... it's nice!

Christmas present are supposed to be opened on the 24th, everything else makes me sad! :<

I know my memories are 30+ years old, but ... our living room would always be locked Christmas Eve Day. My Dad would take my to church in the evening, while Mom (and Grandparents) stayed at home and cooked, and when we came home from church, the living room door would be open, the tree would be decorated and lit and yes, all the presents were under the tree. This would be around 7 or 8 in the evening.

@therealTheBlack If this isn't accurate please respond with a video describing how it's really done.

this is so completely wrong. I live in Germany and although some of this is correct...so much of this is misleading. I dont know if these traditions are from 100 years ago or what...

Another importand point is that we don't decorate our houses that much like most Americans do. My family does it since the late 80s because my grandma has worked for the Americans back in the days. But it's way not that extreme like in America----just a few fairy lights around the windows and rarely an illuminated tree in the front garden.
-XD ich hab da video gemeldet wegen..."irreführendem Inhalt"
-XD I have report the video because of ..."misleading content"

I thought Dec 6th was Nikolaus where the night before kids cleaned out their shoes then set them by the porch or fireplace so that when they woke up on Dec 6th their shoes were filled with candy and fruit.
Kinda like Halloween.
