This is me rambling about love. About my experience of love. About my appreciation for the feeling of love. Inspired by Abraham Hicks and their teachings on the law of attraction. It really is the most important thing - FOR YOURSELF - to get to a place of love. This is not about selfishlessness - even though it is ;) - but about utter and pure selfishness. Get to a place of love, and you will see that everything is alright. EVERYTHING!
You dont have to feel love for there to be love. Love = God = Source whatever you wanna call it is always there. We all are love, no matter if we feel it or not. BUT feeling it is being who you really are, is being source (I prefer not to say god - since this word is so overloaded with meaning). And yes love is only about you in the way that love comes from your soul and from nowhere else. It cannot be instilled in you from outside. It really does not matter what you love as long as you love. I mean of course: Once you start loving some thing - if you keep up the vibe this love will spill over and start engulfing everything around you.
The essence of love is not about others, but in a way it is also not about "You" - the way I think you understand 'You'. We human beings, we living beings really are not that seperate. Look at someone through the eyes of love/god/source and you will see yourself. And showing love through action is good as long as you feel the love. Then everythin you do will be love. You can only show love if you feel love, if you vibe love.
But your love cannot instill love into others heart. Your love can certainly uplift another person and remind them of the path to their own soul. And I know how good it feels to be an uplifter. But all you can really do is point someone who is open to hear you, in the right direction, they have to walk their path.
Yes, but unfortunately nothing last forever. That is the nature of this plane of exsistance, we fall in and out of love, hate, disspare. We are constantly evolving and rediscovering. Loving yourself is the most difficult thing we can attempt, that's why people would rather fall in love with others.

@MegaRudeBoy69 - maybe the most difficult (probably depends a lot on where you coming from), but definitely the most important.

Isn't this love (from yourself to yourself and to others) a byproduct of one's spiritual (or existential) awakening? I think it is, and not just the only byproduct but one of them

@batura1 - Yes, I totally agree.
