Ladrang DIRADAMETA, pelog pathet nem (Dec. 2008)
Tonight's performance of Diradameta uses the seven-tone pelog tuning system, instead of the five-tone slendro in which it is usually performed. Keeping the contours of the melody faithful to the original slendro, this version moves between bem and barang, two different subsets of the pelog tuning system.
I am trying to learn this for the Cardiff Gamelan group. The Peking part is quite tricky once in Dados. Nice to see this on YouTube. Thanks for posting.
