lol gross

ok... so you take the original score for the jazz band that sold on some website somewhere, scan it with Sibelius or some other music recognition software plug the midi file into abelton with virtual piano... press play....
-
and out of timing
-
FYI, it's called syncopation. This song is too straight. Needs more "jazz"
-
I was liking it in the first few seconds, then there came the forgotten notes and awkward rhythm with missed beats.
-
Kinda sounds like piano squall's version

PROOOO

@ChancyLuck i know ur comment is a year old....but too bad...the point of bebop jazz is to be free form and take what is written and ur own twist to it...so technically this is quality work from a jazz perspective
-
Not saying that you're awful; I saw that you did only just find the transcription. Just stating that the progression was off :P
-
Blegh, the harmonic progression was all wrong!
Damn this was off, couldn't even spot the likeliness to the actual song is too many parts of it. I mean where's the damn sax solo ending? Overall, if we still had the old point system, I'd give you a 2.5. Were you distracted while working on this? Maybe you should give it another go, because judging from your other work, you're much better than this, my friend.

@ChancyLuck I actually have to agree with you. I did not make this midi file, but it was the closest I could find out there.

hahaha, this song rocks, but it doesn't even sound that good on piano. it's just better if i big band does it.

Nah, it's just not a good transcription of the song. After analyzing it, parts of the song are off.

timing is off.

I guess the creator of the piano version didn't count any of the pauses.
