What a cute trio of little guys. They sing so well. What a treat. Kids can hardly keep their rooms clean let alone sing in a professional opera production. Bravo!

Such a heartbroken Pamina, Roschmann is my favourite nowadays. And the boys are EXCELLENT!!!! amazingly, this scene is much better here than in the dvd I own (McVicar's prod, ROH, 2003). I have this audio on my mp3, simply moving.

ok the aria was excellent and great and all but the costumes took me so out of whack. other ones of this aria were better with the costume this looked like something out of a disney movie.

From what I've heard, the reason it's in german is because Mozart wanted to create an opera for the people in their own language, that way anyone from Austria (or Germany, etc.) could enjoy the music and the story. That's also why it's pretty silly as far as the storyline.
