@igogosh Yes you have to go inside the softbox to change the settings of the flash. You can do this two ways. Either by taking the diffuser off (one side etc), or by the opening at the back of the softbox.
If you are using Pocket Wizards TT1 and TT5s with it then you can do this at the camera using the AC3 controller for example. Not cheap but perfect! Hope this answers the question for you.
