  • Glad I went to school when they were actually teaching you stuff, like German ;-) This is great stuff. All these heroes/heroines!

  • @pillmuncher67 I understand you got angry about all these comments. Talking about stupid "Germans" because there are that don't speak English is silly ofcourse.

I think it would work better if they do not translate programs, but use subtitling, that way ppl like your sister might learn English easier. The generation that don't know how to speak English is dying, for the young generation in Germany does speak English, thanks to I-net, tv and radio. U r the example for that ;-)

  • @DirkjeA I agree completely. I too hate dubbed movies and prefer subtitles for movies in languages I don't understand. That's one reason why I don't watch German TV anymore. OTOH, there are still many Germans who don't understand English properly, like my 66 year old sister, who never had English in school.

I was just a little angry about all the comments that basically said "those stupid Germans, they're so stupid, they even speak German".

  • @pillmuncher67 I am Dutch, I speak German and English, listening to this in English and German makes this documentary less easy to watch. would be easier watching it in English with German subs, but as you said, it was madeby ZDF tv and we all know Germany tv translate everything. Watching a western where the hero suddenly speaks German is really silly. For you it is normal, for the rest of the world it sounds awkward when he says z.b.: he mister hast du Fuer fur mich.....lächerlig

  • To all the people complaining about the German voiceover: it's a documentary made by a German producer for German TV. So it's in German. Gee, what a surprise. AFAIK, there is an English version on the DVD, but this youtube video was obviously recorded from German TV. It says so in the logo: ZDF is a German TV station. So why don't you buy the DVD and put it on youtube yourself? Or learn German, so you can understand what they say? I'm German and I speak English. What's your excuse?

  • My dad played there with his band. I never got to see the place though

  • It's just not enough that they overdub 10 year old American sitcoms for their prime time time television...

Somebody post an English language version!

  • @desasterz Where?? I can't find it.

  • Attention everyone, this video has been uploaded on You Tube without german voice overs. "House of the Rising Punk"

  • this german is so fucking waste of time ! ://
