  • @stream0fspin only in maneuverability, everything else it is virtually lightyears behind in.

  • @hotpocketpoison you might wanna check out the sukhoi pak fa. serious competition for the f22

  • I like to call dogfights Aerial Kung Fu

  • @TheKneekap also the F-22 is infinitely more maneuverable than a Su-27. and the F-22 has much more to it than the fastest supercruise of any fighter in existence. it also has the best avionics,RWRs,radar, and far superior stealth.

  • Thumbs up if F-Zero brought you here.

  • @TheKneekap the first plane to use thrust vectoring for super maneuverability was the F-18HARV. stop giving credit where it is not due.

  • @BoxyTheSpaceDog very incorrect, the russian R-77(russias most advanced AA missile)has a range of 60-80km(those reports saying 160km is all propaganda)the rest of those missiles(like the KS-172)are AWACS killers, they have a long range but EXTREMELY limited maneuverability,it is physically impossible for them to engage fighters. also russian missiles have absolutely inferior guidance systems when compared to something like the AIM-120D and the AIM-9X. and the F-22 can carry 8 missiles internally.

  • @RaptureandZune and the rest of its breath taking maneuvers? so even if the main run of the mill SU-27 didn't have thrust vectoring, it's still more maneuverable than the F-22 in it's form today lol. it's fails

one more thing about the F-22, everyone is hyping up this super-cruise thing like its a late development lol. it's not really that special

  • @TheKneekap First, when we talk about military stuff on the internet, "SU-27" means the basic model. If you want to describe a specific variant, use its full name. Second, the basic SU-27 could perform Pugachev's Cobra without any vectoring thrust (In 1989 Paris). That's why the Flanker is so highly praised for its aerodynamic design.

  • @RaptureandZune lol, get your facts straight sir. the SU-27 was the test platform for thrust vectoring, which they later incorporated into the SU-30MK and SU-37 models. how else do you think the SU-27 pulls off the maneuvers it can? it is still one of the most agile aircraft in existence. and i'm not talking about dogfights, like i stated in my previous comment...
