Kai totally reminds me of Ed from Cowboy Bebop, how she can't really seem to just walk anywhere she has to skip or saunter, in the cutscenes at least. Especially in the cutscene where she rescues Master Shen and goes in to find Nariko, and she's just somersaulting away. :D

Remember, you can take all the time you need. If you have to keep luring them around and crossing the center to get things lined up, you can.

If they pass the barrels just wait for them to get close to you, then cross to the other side and wait for them to walk near them again.

If it's easier for you, aim for one of the torches then hit the barrels behind them and blow them up as they're walking around.
