@Enrichman 999 :) I love the interval shooting feature on the D5000. A lot of interesting uses out of it.

yes I use mine quite a bit be sure to use manual focus though and maybe reduce the interval?? use the magic formula guys decide how long you want you video to last then decide how long you need to shoot for a one minute video needs about 1440 pictures you divide your shooting time by this to give yo your interval ie if you wanted to shoot for 3hrs 60*60*3 =10800.. 10800/1440 =7.5 so you go for 7 or 8 seconds between shots

@TheBraveheart550 Thanks for the tips. I learned the manual focus lesson the hard way (as you can see on the video). Now, I go full manual on any timelapse. The results are much more reliable.

That's pretty sick, I have to try that with mine.

@NeverBringMe2MyKnees Thanks! I definitely use the interval shooting much more often than video. Let me know how it goes.

How do you do that ? do you just hold the shutter down ?

@Masturcheef1000 There's a mode called Interval Shooting in the menu system that will let you instruct the camera to take a picture every X minutes. You give it the number of pictures and the interval between each pic.
